TAG Heuer Partnering with S3 Programme

It’s official. TAG Heuer has partnered with the Swiss Space Systems (S3) aerospace program to help bring zero gravity travel to timepiece loving, thrill-seeking civilians.

Earlier this spring, S3 announced it had bought an Airbus A340-300 jet to offer zero-gravity flight experiences. The jet will carry around 70 passengers on 90 minute flights featuring 15 parabolic arcs and once passengers pass through the top of each arc, they will experience 25 seconds of weightlessness. That’s right, the Average Joe will be able to fly aboard a private A340 and experience zero G!

So how is TAG involved? Not only will the brand have a presence on the programme's advertising media, a special TAG timepiece will be the actual boarding pass to access the plane! The all black chronograph comes with a black rubber strap, stamped with the S3 logo. On the face, the first 25 seconds are marked in red to signify the amount of time spent weightless. And the backing of the watch truly documents your experience, with an engraving of the flight’s parabola through the air. Unforgettable watch to go with an unforgettable flight.

This unique experience will be accessible to travelers at over 15 destinations worldwide with flights starting around $3,000. The first flights will be available for passengers in September in Switzerland, aiming to spread to Asia and North America over time.
