Devon Works Star Wars Watch

Not too long ago, in a galaxy close by… a Star Wars watch was born. In anticipation for the Star Wars: The Force Awakens debut this December, watch brand Devon Works has created a truly intergalactic Star Wars inspired timepiece.

Made using components sourced by the US aerospace industry, this watch has over 350 pieces - making it one of the most complex watches made in the United States, with its own patented and proprietary movement. Time is told using time belts, a revolutionary system made possible due to the most advanced engineering from partnership with the US aerospace industry. The belts themselves are made with glass reinforced nylon material, the same material used in the gauges of the original 747 aircraft.

Design inspired by Darth Vader and the TIE fighter, the watch is crafted in black DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) steel. As reported by ForbesLife:

The wings of the TIE Fighter aircraft are architecturally incorporated into the sides of the case. The screws that connect the case and lugs resemble aircraft turbine intakes, complete with pointed silver screws on the end that recall the ones on Darth Vader’s helmet. Even the ribbed leather strap is specially made to replicate Darth Vader’s gloves, and the crown features the Galactic Empire logo.
There will be just 500 pieces made throughout a two year time period, retailing for $28,500.
