How to Safely Store Your Watches

You’ve grown tired of wearing the same watch day in, day out. A second watch will give you an additional option to choose from, while a third will add even more variety to your daily wear - see where we’re going? If you find yourself with a watch collection - big or small - it’s essential you have a safe place to store them when they aren’t in use.
  • Watch Box - Consider this option the walk-in closet for timepieces. With a full display of each watch, choosing one to wear each day is a breeze. Each watch, while stored together, is secured in individual sections for protection.
  • Safe/Bank Deposit Box - Are you heading out of town? Own some high priced and valuable pieces? This may be your go to storage system. If you use a home safe, install it in a wall or bolt it to the floor (to prevent the chance of a burglar running off with it entirely). To really protect your most prized possessions, a bank deposit box is your safest bet. Only you have access to the box and its contents can be insured should anything happen at the bank. The downfall? Not the most convenient for swapping out your watches.
  • Watch Winders - Automatic watches need to be constantly worn and moved around in order to stay wound. If you have any complex automatic-winding watches that only come out for special occasions, why not store them in a watch winder? A watch that needs to be wound and isn’t, can cause slight damage to the components - not to mention will need to be wound and adjusted upon wearing.
Watches are investments that should be taken care of - not just displayed on your dresser.
