Styling Your Timepiece

When it comes to fashion, accessorizing is key. A simple timepiece can easily accentuate your outfit - and equally take away from it if you’re not careful. After all, no one wants to be asked if they were dressed in the dark this morning!

To help you achieve a compliment worthy look, see below for our styling tips:

First and foremost:

Consider your watch collection. Haven’t started it yet? Here’s your chance. Having a variety of choices can help your chances of matching a watch to any ensemble. Constantly switching up your watches(or simply their watch bands) will also keep things fresh. While creating your collection of watches, make sure to include three different types:

  • Dress: A dress watch is important for formal events, parties, and places where you are trying to take it up a notch. For a classy look, opt for timepieces with gold or silver bands.
  • Casual: A casual watch translates to casual clothing - and no not sweatpants and a t-shirt. Leather bands tend to be the most popular of the casual category and can be worn with everyday attire.
  • Sports: A sports watch can be more rugged, digital, or water resistant. Choose this one when working out or enjoying outdoor activities.
Additional styling tips:
  • Match the band color of your watch to that of your dress or suit. You can never go wrong with a perfect match.
  • This can vary based on the hue of the band - but typically, while wearing a black or grey suit, lean towards wearing a watch with a black band. For brown and blue suits, consider a brown band.
  • It’s not necessary to own the most expensive timepieces, but they should still be in good working condition. So if your watch has seen better days, bring it to us for help in sprucing it up.
