Super Bowl in the City

 

Super Bowl Sunday is right around the corner and football fans everywhere are preparing to watch the game with their closest friends or family. This time, for the FIRST time, the February 2nd game will be in the New York Metro Area. With all the excitement, organizers have planned a sizzling calendar of events surrounding the game.

Whether you are hosting a party this year, visiting your favorite city bar, or braving the cold and going to the game at MetLife Stadium, we have a roundup of events happening all over the city to fit into your weekend schedule:

Time Square Takeover! Super Bowl Boulevard will shut down Broadway from 34th - 47th streets making it the epicenter of all things pigskin. Among free interactive games and photo opps, there is a 60 ft high, 180 ft long toboggan run for only $5 a ride. Now - Feb. 1st, 12 - 10pm

Taste of the NFL - world class chefs and current and former football players will prepare dishes for over 40 food stations. Proceeds go to tri-state charities working to sack hunger. Price: $700, Feb. 1st, 7pm at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal, Pier 12

The 50 Yard Lounge - An all-day access pass allows you to indulge in food prepared by top chefs, leave and wander the city, and return to feast more later on. Price: $400 - $650 for single day, $1,440 - $2,200 for multi day passes; Now - Feb. 1st, 10am - 2am, Feb 2. 9am - 2:30pm, 3:30pm - midnight
