2014 Winter Olympic Games Timepiece
The 2014 Winter Olympic Games kick off on February 7th in Sochi, Russia, with Swiss watch brand OMEGA once again as the official timekeeper. To commemorate 2014 games, Omega has released a 100 piece limited-edition watch with a distinctily Russian pedigree - the Omega Sochi Petrograd. (watchtime)
The design of this new Omega watch looks back to a historical OMEGA timepiece originally created for a Russian leader in 1915. Rather than round, the watch is a classical tonneau shape and it's made of 18k yellow gold with a strap of burgundy-hued leather with an 18k yellow gold buckle.
The caseback is engraved with the logo of the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games and the limited edition number, retailing for $18,600.
