Your Guide to St. Patrick’s Day Around Grand Central
Top o’ the morning all! It’s just about time for the annual New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade - will you be in attendance? If you’re able to skip out of work for the day - or even just during your lunch break - here’s some details on the parade route:
The parade starts at 11am at 44th Street, marching up Fifth Avenue - past St. Patrick's Cathedral at 50th Street—all the way to 79th Street. It finishes around 4:30-5:00pm at the American Irish Historical Society at East 80th Street.

- Grand Central Oyster Bar & Restaurant - Right here in Grand Central Terminal, this restaurant will be serving a shamrock-colored special: Green Split Pea Soup with Jumbo Lump Crabmeat.
- Michael Jordan’s The Steak House NYC - Enjoy a St. Patrick’s Day feast: hand carved corned beef sandwich with seeded rye, braised cabbage, boiled red potatoes, and St. Patrick’s Day punch!
- Bierhaus NYC - Get your green on and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with live music, prizes and a ton of fun. Plus, four lucky lads or ladies who receive a Lucky Stein will get a $50 gift card - make sure to check the bottom of your .5L or 1 Liter mug!
- Pershing Square - Located under the Park Ave viaduct, Pershing Square will have a live Celtic band from 5:30-8pm tonight, serving corned beef and cabbage for dinner.
- The Roosevelt Hotel - Both the Vander Bar and Madison Club Lounge are opening early (10am) to serve Irish fare and drink specials. To truly get you in the green spirit, live bag piper performances by the Rockland County AOH Edward .V. Larkin Memorial Pipe Band will be held at 11:30 and 1pm in the Roosevelt Hotel Lobby as well as an additional performance at the Vander bar at 12:15pm.
