State of the art technology: Glashutte Original has unveiled details of its new manufacture calibre for a new generation of valuable watches. After three years of development, the Calibre 36 is a new base movement that can be found in three versions of Glashutte’s Senator Excellence model.

20 years of marine heritage: Ulysse Nardin constantly sets the bar for high standards in the complicated watch category. This year, the Marine is in focus. Introduced in 1996, the Marine line is one of the brand’s most recognizable icons. And to celebrate its 20th anniversary, Ulysse Nardin is unveiling an all new movement - a chronograph with an annual calendar.

10 years of all black: Hublot has created its newest movement, entirely conceived and developed in-house. The HUB1201 is a skeleton mechanical movement with manual winding and a 10-day power reserve. It is encased in Hublot’s new 45 mm Big Band Meca-10 All Black, a tribute to Hublot’s decade of All Black monochrome watches. This timepiece is limited to 500 pieces, has 223 components, and is water resistant to 100 meters. 

New Tissot recalls its past: One of Tissot’s newest timepieces, the Tissot Heritage 1936, is a stylish reinterpretation of one of its vintage models. Featuring a 45 mm steel case, rugged brown leather strap, 42 hour power reserve, and is water resistant to 50 meters.

Time to travel: Offering high functionality with two time zones, GMT watches are among the most sought after timepieces. Some new pieces on show at Baselworld? Citizen’s Satellite Wave Wolrd Time GPS, Perrelet’s Turbine GMT, and Cuervo y Sobrinos’ Historiador Vuelo Watch.
