Fleet Week at the Intrepid
Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum
Until Wednesday May 27th
The Intrepid pays homage to veterans by offering a full week of events including: armed forces and naval presentations, a “Meet the Pilots” session with astronauts and aviators, and interactive displays.
Brooklyn Memorial Day Parade

Monday May 25th
Now in its 148th year, the Brooklyn Memorial Day parade will kick off at 11am on Third Avenue and 87th Street in Bay Ridge, proceeding along Fourth Avenue and ending with a 21-gun salute by the US Army at Fort Hamilton. This parade is sponsored by the United Military Veterans of Kings County.
Memorial Day Commemoration at Green-Wood Cemetery

Monday May 25th
Participate in a parade to commemorate Green-Wood’s Civil War veterans at 11am on a historic site as reenactors and musicians march by your side. Descendants of the soldiers will read out their names before an artillery salute.

Hosted by Locals Surf School, Locals will be saluting the valor of US veterans with music by Oriental BLVD and food from Tacoway Beach.

Sunday May 24th
This Staten Island beer maker is closing down the block to party with the folks in uniform. Several local music groups will open for official US Navy Band Northeast “Rhode Island Sound,” which will play pop and rock covers.
Loisaida Festival

Celebrate Puerto Rican and Latino culture at the 28th annual Loisaida Festival featuring Chicano Batman, Calma Carmona and the band Herencia de Plena, among others, all hosted by actor Luis Guzman.
