Unique Timepiece Spotlight: Deepsea D-Blue Dial Edition

Rolex has rolled out an update to its largest, most robust commercial dive watch, the Deepsea. Not too far off from the original 2009 Deepsea timepiece, the main difference in this version is the dial.

Typically, Rolex watches have black (or sometimes white) dials. The new Deepsea
D-Blue features a gradient dial that goes from blue to black in tribute to director James Cameron’s plunge in his 2012 documentary, Deepsea Challenge 3D. The word “DEEPSEA” matches the same green color of Cameron’s submersible and has been moved to the 6 o’clock position from the original 12 o’clock.

Still waterproof to an extreme depth of 12,800 feet (3,900 metres), this new generation divers’ watch benefits from exclusive innovations developed by Rolex to exceed the most testing demands of professional divers.
