Great North River Tugboat Race & Competition - Cheer on the hardest workers in the harbor at the 24th Annual Great North River Tugboat Race & Competition this Sunday at Pier 84 on the Hudson River! NYC Unicycle Festival - The 7th Annual NYC Unicycle Festival returns for another four days of one wheeled madness this Labor Day weekend. Hit the beach - With a variety of options spanning from Brooklyn to Montauk, New York/Long Island's beaches are simply a train ride away. Aside from that, you have your choice of lakes in upstate New York, beach towns along the Jersey Shore, and a variety of seaport Connecticut towns. 

Commuters/Travelers take note: For those traveling out of Grand Central this Labor Day Weekend - there will be 17 extra Friday afternoon trains departing the terminal (and 10 extra departing Penn Station).
