Fourth of July in NYC

No plans this holiday weekend? Don’t sweat it! Fireworks and celebrations are a plenty. See below for some suggestions for celebrating the good ol’ U.S. of A.
Fourth of July at South Street Seaport
The annual Festival of Independence returns to the South Street Seaport this weekend! This two-day celebration of art, music, fashion, and culinary offerings will take place Sunday, July 3rd and Monday, July 4th from 1p - 9p. Attendees will enjoy views along the East River of the 40th Anniversary Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks on July 4th!

Macy’s Fourth of July Fireworks
Even if you’re not attending the Seaport’s celebrations there are still plenty of places to view fireworks- and trust us, this one is the mother of all pyrotechnic displays. Macy’s will send off more than 40,000 fireworks choreographed to a 25-minute patriotic score! Stake out spots near the Brooklyn Bridge and be sure to arrive early!

Bryant Park Summer Film Festival
The film of choice - why Top Gun of course. Bring a blanket and sit on the lawn to enjoy this American classic under the stars. Lawn opens at 5pm on Monday, July 4th and the film will begin at sunset (typically around 8p-9p).

Please note, we will be closed Monday, July 4th in observance of the holiday.  From all of us here at Central Watch - we hope everyone has a happy and safe Independence Day! See everyone Tuesday morning
