The 81st Annual Rockefeller Christmas Tree Lighting Tomorrow!

Get ready NYC! Tomorrow night, tens of thousands of local New Yorkers and tourists will crowd Rockefeller Center for the 81st annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony.

This year's Christmas tree lighting will feature a 76-foot Norway Spruce that is 47 feet in diameter and weighs approximately 12 tons. The tree is estimated to be about 75 years old. More than 45,000 energy-efficient multicolored LED lights will be strung to decorate the tree topped with a 9 1/2 foot wide LED lit Swarovski crystal star.

As you know, attending the ceremony is free - but make sure you get there as early as possible to grab a good spot for viewing. If you aren't planning on braving the crowds, be sure to tune in to experience one of this city's beloved holiday traditions.

NBC will celebrate the lighting with a live broadcast from Rockefeller Center from 8-9pm.
