Chances are, if you’re from the city or Long Island, you know about the Hamptons and the Hampton Classic Horse Show. The event returns August 25th-September 1st for its 38th year of world-class equestrian competition, shopping, and entertainment in Bridgehampton, NY. Already involved in the International Equestrian Federation (FEI), this new partnership with the Classic officially solidifies Longines’ presence.

Longines is to be the Official Watch and the Official Timekeeper of the Classic and as an added bonus, the partnership also includes the initiation of the new Longines Rider Challenge that will award $30,000 to the rider who accumulates the most points in the horse show’s Open Jumper division.

According to the official press release:
The Hampton Classic will feature 6 show rings, a Boutique Garden with more than 70 vendors, and a wide selection of dining options, all on its 60-acre show grounds. The Classic's world-class equestrian competition attracts many of the nation's top professional and amateur riders, and its Hamptons charm and schedule of family attractions make it the perfect destination for anybody looking to add some style to their summer.

Longines’ passion for equestrian sports began in 1878, when a timepiece was made with a horse and jockey engraved on the watch face. Over the years, the brand has built strong and long-lasting links with equestrian sports. In 1926, for the first time, the brand was involved as timekeeper for an international show jumping competition.
