We see countless watch advertisements and general product photographs daily, but have you noticed the similarity? No? Take a look closely:
Most photos usually always show the same time... 10:10. But why?

According to the New York Times the reason is simple - aesthetics. With the hands on 10 and 2, the position is symmetrical, it makes the hands look like they're smiling, and it avoids blocking key details on the face of the watch like the logo.

Keep your eye out the next time you see a watch advertisement, let us know how often you see the time 10:10 displayed on our Facebook page!
