Ralph Lauren Automotive Collection SIHH 2015
Ralph Lauren’s passion for watches is fueled by another one of his hobbies - car collecting. In his Automotive Collection unveiled at SIHH, he featured a series of timepieces to demonstrate the connection between two different worlds in which precision, style, and high performance go hand in hand; that of watchmaking and that of the world’s greatest vehicles.
One of the latest models, the RL Automotive Skeleton, was inspired by one by one of his favorite cars, the rare vintage 1938 Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic Coupe.

The RL Automotive Skeleton is the first open-worked movement Ralph Lauren has ever presented. This hand-wound mechanical watch uses a combination of materials, included rare woods to emulate the richness and clarity of the budget’s dash and features wooden bezels in amboyna burl wood.
