25 Years of Magic - SIHH 2015

With 16 exhibitors, 12,500 privileged guests, and 30,000sq m of exhibition space - SIHH is wrapping up its 25th year of watchmaking magic. This exclusive trade fair is a tribute to the skills and expertise that have established Geneva as the foremost center for Fine Watchmaking in the world.

In a matter of days, literally hundreds of watches are unveiled at SIHH and Businessweek helps us sift through to find some timepieces you need to know about right now:
  • Montblanc Heritage Spirit Orbis Terrarum - Montblanc has been creating traditionally high-end complications at more affordable prices. Last year, we saw a steel perpetual calendar for under $13k and now they’ve released a true world timer with day/night map on the dial for under $6k in steel.
  • Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Calendar with Meteorite Dial - Yes, you read that right. This triple calendar has a dial made of a sliver of meteorite taken from an actual stone in Sweden. The steel version (SRP $12,400) has a natural-colored dial while the rose gold version (SRP $23,900) is stained slightly darker.
  • IWC Portugieser Hand-Wound Eight Days Edition “75th Anniversary” - IWC has created a watch with all the best elements of the 1939 original, while adding an updated modern movement. It’s available for $11,500 (steel, 750 pieces) and $22,000 (red gold, 175 pieces).
