Any watch aficionados looking for tiny artwork with a huge price tag? Look no further. Swiss watchmakers Robert Greubel and Stephen Forsey have collaborated with British artist Willard Wigan to create a truly one of a kind timepiece.
Known for creating tiny sculptures (in fact holds the world record for the smallest sculpture, which is a gold motorbike that fits inside a single strand of facial hair), Wigan worked to fit one of his sculptures inside of a watch. The end result - Art Piece 1.

In addition to standard high-end watch features like a platinum case, a 72 hour reserve, and a 30 degree double tourbillon, this timepiece houses a gold sculpture of a ship so small, a special lens had to be installed in order to make it visible to the naked eye.
Worth $1.5 million, this timepiece is currently on display at Trinity House (East 64th Street) through Friday, along with an assortment of other works by Wigan.
