Get ready NYC, tonight is the 80th annual Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony in Rockefeller Center! This is a NYC tradition and the official
kickoff of the Christmas season in New York City!
The tree arrived in Midtown on November 14th and
has since been prepped for tonight’s big lighting celebration! The Christmas
tree lighting in Rockefeller Center attracts NYC natives as well as tourists
from all over!
Tonight’s tree contains more than 30,000 colorful LED
energy efficient lights. The 80 foot tall Norway Spruce from Connecticut will
be topped with a Swarovski star to give it a magical touch.
