Unique Timepiece Spotlight: URWERK UR-105M WATCH
“The case of UR-105M was developed as an armor. The visible screws on the bezel not only bring a distinctive esthetic to the watch, but also tack the steel armor onto its titanium body. This shield protects the mechanism (the heart of the watch) from the outside world’s aggressions.”
Not every watch has to have the same traditional displays of time and the creators of the Urwerk UR-105M know that well. Instead, this watch features four forged-aluminum satellites that slowly orbit. Each satellite coming into view during their 60 minute journey along the minute scale. A circular PEEK (PolyEtherEthercetone) canopy with openings enhances the current hour.

All other features have been moved away from the face, including a run timer, maintenance indicator, and power reserve. The power reserve has a display on either side of the case as well as the rear of the watch so you can easily check and see if it needs to be wound. Built from a combination of titanium and steel, the watch features sapphire crystals, and is available in brushed steel or black-colored titanium.
