The smart watch revolution is here - and it's breaking into the fitness category as well. This November, adidas is set to launch their miCoach Smart Run watch - the most advanced and intuitive wrist based running device on the market.

For the first time, runners will be able to use GPS mapping to track their runs, while monitoring their heart rate off their wrist, while listening to their favorite music AND while getting real-time coaching. No cables, no straps, no sensors - everything is done from this simple, color touch screen running watch.

"As part of the miCoach training system, it truly unlocks human potential by making smart training easy and accessible. Whether you're starting a new running program, training for a 10k or competing in another marathon, miCoach SMART RUN will make your training more efficient so you get the results you want." - Simon Drabble, Director of miCoach via adidas Press Release
So how about that! Though we know the New York City Marathon will take place prior to this watch's release - perhaps this is a good holiday gift to keep in mind for any runners in your life.
